Requirements for Entering the Campus

For Students & Employees

All students and employees who access college facilities will need to show proof of vaccination or a weekly negative COVID-19 test result. Masking is required indoors, regardless of vaccination status.

Students and employees must also complete the Cleared4 Covid-19 Health Questionnaire every day they enter the campus/district facilities.

For Visitors

All visitors are required to complete the COVID-19 Symptom Self-Check each day before accessing campus facilities. 


Vaccination & Testing Requirements for Students & Employees

For the The Los Angeles Community College District has established a new COVID-19 Vaccination & Testing requirements for students and employees to be able to access college and District facilities.

 

Effective October 15, 2021, the District is providing a grace period for compliance with the vaccine mandate, Board Policy 2900:

  • Students have until 5 p.m., Friday, November 19, 2021 to provide proof of vaccination or submit an exemption, and complete a baseline test. 
     
  • Employees have until 5 p.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2021 to provide proof of vaccination or submit an exemption, and complete a baseline test.

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics

LAVC is hosting free COVID-10 Vaccination Clinics on-Campus to allow you to get your first and second dose, or third dose or the booster shot (if eligible). Plus, LAVC students and employees can receive a $150 gift card to the LAVC Bookstore for each dose received on campus.

Vaccination clinic will be held on:

  • October 19, 27, November 6, 9, 17, 30, December 8, and 16 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. in Parking Lot A.

Walk-Ins are welcome, or you can make an appointment or pre-register with Fulgent Genetics. Learn what to bring with you to your vaccination.


COVID-19 Testing

Our new vendor, Biocept, takes over the COVID-19 Testing and Screening operations at LAVC (replacing the LAVC Safe App and self-check-in on our website).​ Only tests administered by CLEARED4 will be accepted as proof of compliance. 

The Valley College COVID-19 PCR testing dates are available on:

  • Mondays from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. in Engineering Building, Room 100 (except October 11, 2021)
  • Tuesdays from 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. in Engineering Building, Room 100.
  • For other testing locations/dates, view the Districtwide COVID Testing schedule.

To schedule an appointment, check your student/employee email to access your Biocept account using your private Cleared4 link.


Vaccination Exemption Requests

Students and employees can submit a medical or religious vaccination exemption using the COVID-19 Vaccination Exemption Request Form. Learn more about how to submit a vaccination exemption.
