Requirements for Entering the Campus

Starting June 13, 2022, indoor masking is not required, but strongly recommended (in accordance with the LACDPH health order). If you need a mask, free surgical masks are available at the entrance of LAVC campus buildings.

For Students

Effective June 30, 2022, students are no longer need to submit a health screening and check-in when coming to campus. If you feel sick, please stay home and contact your instructor. In addition, there is no longer a  vaccination requirement for students to be able to enroll in classes

For Employees

Employees are still required to complete their daily health screening and check-in on campus. Please follow this two-step check-in process every day you enter campus/district facilities:

  1. Before entry, complete your Cleared4 self-check questionnaire sent to your campus email each day you come to campus. If you do not have access to a computer, use a computer workstation in the LAVC Welcome Center in the Student Services Center, 1st floor (view campus map).
     
  2. Once on campus, scan your QR code at a campus scanning station located in any campus building. Find a scanning station location, and learn how to check-in with your QR code.

For Visitors, Guests & Outside Vendors

All visitors, outside vendors and guests are required to complete the COVID-19 Symptom Self-Check each day before accessing campus facilities.


Vaccination & Testing Requirements for Students & Employees

For the The Los Angeles Community College District has established a new COVID-19 Vaccination & Testing requirements for students and employees to be able to access college and District facilities.


COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics

LAVC is hosting free on-campus COVID-10 Vaccine Clinics to allow anyone (5 years and older) to get their first and second dose, or third dose or the booster shot (if eligible). Clinics will be held on campus:

COVID-19 Testing

PCR Testing for Employees

Employees can get free COVID-19 PCR testing (by appointment only) through Biocept, the district's vendor for COVID-19 Testing and Screening operations.

  • COVID-19 PCR testing dates are available at Valley College during the Summer on Tuesdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in Engineering 100. For complete schedule of testing locations/dates, check the Districtwide COVID Testing schedule.

Antigen Home Testing

Students and employees who wish to test at home, can get COVID-19 Antigen Home testing kits on campus. Find out how to request an antigen home test.
