Want Enrollment Help? LAVC Welcome Center is Here to Assist

Find answers to your general questions and enrollment help at the Welcome Center. For Thanksgiving Week, the Welcome Center is open Monday-Tuesday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. & Wednesday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and closed on November 28-29 and the weekend.


Twilight Tutoring: Evening Study Lounge & Tutoring

Tuesday, November 26 from 6-10 p.m.

Need a place to study in the evenings with free coffee and snacks? Visit the ARC’s Study Lounge for Twilight Tutoring with comfy chairs, couches, tables, and whiteboards. It’s the perfect place to study or connect with a tutor for math, statistics, or writing.

Monarch Market's Weekly Food Distribution

The Basic Needs Center is offering The Monarch Market Food Distribution every Wednesday. Come experience the freshness and bounty of nutritious produce for students and community members. We encourage you to bring your own reusable bag.

Thanksgiving Holiday

Thursday-Sunday, November 28-December 1

Campus is closed November 28-29 to observe the Thanksgiving holiday. The college will reopen and classes will resume on Monday, December 2.


What is the best way to reach Admissions & Records?

If you want to speak with an Admissions & Records representative, you can live chat on the Admissions & Records on Cranium Café, or visit their office in the Student Services Center, 1st Floor Lobby during business hours.


How can I speak with someone in Financial Aid?

The Financial Aid Office can assist students with their financial aid questions. You can call Financial Aid at (818) 938-8418, live chat with a representative on the Financial Aid on Cranium Café, or visit the office in the Student Services Center, 1st Floor Lobby during business hours.


Is there anyone who can assist me in Armenian, Russian or Spanish?

Our staff can connect you with someone who can provide language translation assistance. Please contact the department directly or the Welcome Center, and they will find an available employee to assist you.


Complete the LACCD’s Fall 2024 Student Survey for a Chance to Win $50

The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is conducting its biennial Fall 2024 Student Survey. Check your LACCD email for an invitation to the survey. Students who completes the survey will be entered in drawing every 2 weeks for $50 awards. The survey closes on Sunday, December 9. We greatly appreciate your feedback, which helps us improve!

Late Night Crunch Time for Fall 2024 Finals

Monday-Thursday, December 2-5 from 6-10 p.m. in LARC 226

Finals are coming. Don’t sweat it alone! The Academic Resource Center (ARC) and the ASU are hosting Crunch Time with four evenings of dedicated study space, free coffee/snacks, massages (yes, massages), childcare, and tutoring. 

Wind Ensemble Concert

Monday, December 2 at 7:30 p.m. at Porter Middle School in Granada Hills

Listen to an enchanting Wind Ensemble Concert featuring winter-inspired melodies and cherished holiday tunes, both old and new.

Performance Workshop Concerts

Tuesday, December 3 & Thursday, December 5 at 11:20 a.m. in the Music Recital Hall

Join us for Performance Workshop Concert I and Performance Workshop Concert II to listen to recital showcases featuring students in the Applied Music Program and Performance Workshop class.

Ceramic Sale

Wednesday, December 4 from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on the Art Gallery Patio

Start your holiday shopping by visiting the annual Ceramic Sale. Come early! These unique and one-of kind art works are highly coveted and sell quickly.

Valley Symphony Orchestra Concert

Wednesday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Recital Hall 

Come listen to the Valley Symphony Orchestra Concert as they perform a captivating concert of classical masterpieces featuring works by Beethoven.

Fall Dance Class Showcase

Thursday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Monarch Hall

The Fall Dance Showcase will present the work and skills students in our dance classes have learned over the past semester.

Applied/Faculty Mentor Concert

Saturday, December 7 from 7 p.m. in the Music Recital Hall

Applied music students who are completing the program will present a final recital, including performances in collaboration with music faculty.

College Choir & Chamber Singers Concert

Sunday, December 8 at 7 p.m. in the Music Recital Hall

The Chamber Singers and College Choir will present a captivating concert of classical masterpieces and contemporary gems. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for students/seniors, and $5 for children under 12.
