Last Chance! Spring Semester starts Next Week
Last call to enroll in the Spring classes you need to graduate or finish your program! Spring Semester 2025 starts on February 10. If you are taking less than 12 units, add classes to fill your schedule so you can finish sooner. Enroll online today using your myCollege.laccd.edu Student Portal. If you need help, contact the Welcome Center or come to one of our Spring Enrollment Days.

Monarch Market's Weekly Food Distribution

In collaboration with the Student Lunch Box, the Basic Needs Center is holding The Monarch Market Food Distribution every Wednesday. Come experience the freshness and bounty of nutritious produce to students and community members. We encourage you to bring your own reusable bag.
Umoja Orientation
Wednesday, February 5 from 1-3 p.m.

Come learn about the Umoja Black Scholars program at LA Valley College. The Umoja Orientation is designed to introduce students to the Umoja community, a program dedicated to supporting the academic success and personal growth of Black students in higher education.

Cheer on the Women’s and Men’s Basketball teams play Citrus College. The Lady Monarchs game is at 1 p.m., followed by the Men’s game at 3 p.m.

The Welcome Center is your first stop to get help answering your general questions and get Winter and Spring enrollment assistance. It’s open Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. & Friday, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. (except on holidays).

How can I schedule a counseling appointment?
To schedule a counseling appointment, call the Counseling Department at (818) 938-8418, schedule online through Cranium Café or in-person at the Counseling Department in the Student Services Annex.
How can I reset my password to the Student Portal?
You can reset your password yourself by using the Microsoft Self-Service Password Reset. Here’s the steps:
- Set up your account to allow you to reset your password (follow these instructions).
- Go to the Student Portal login page and click on the “Forget your password?” option. Follow the message prompts to reset your password.

How do I log onto Cranium Café?
You can use Cranium Café to connect with a college service or program. Follow these steps to log into Cranium Café:
- Find the department lobby that you wish to enter (for example, https://laccd.craniumcafe.com/group/admissions-/lobby)
- Agree to the Informed Consent Statement
- Choose either “Current Students” or “Guest Registration” for prospective students (if the Guest option is selected, you will need to register for a quick temporary account)
- Select reason for the visit
- Join lobby and an agent will be with you soon!
Child Development Center is Now Accepting Applications for Children
The Child Development Center is now accepting applications for the Spring semester for the Preschool program (2-4 years) and the School Age After-School Program (TK-6th grade). For more information and to request an application, please contact the Child Development Center.
Upcoming Events
Spring Semester 2025 Begins
Monday, February 10
Day and evening classes begin for Spring Semester 2025. Saturday classes will begin on February 22, 2025. Check the mycollege.laccd.edu Student Portal for your class meeting time and location.
Welcome Week: Spring 2025 Kick-Off & Spirit Day
Wednesday, February 12 from 3-5 p.m. in front of the South Gym
Join us for Welcome Week's Spring 2025 Kick-off and Spirit Day. Don’t miss out on this perfect start to the Spring semester! Discover campus activities and clubs, play games, make new friends, and enjoy delicious food. Show Monarch pride at this pep rally before our Men's & Women's Basketball 75th Anniversary games that evening.
President's Day - Holiday
Friday, February 14 - Monday, February 17
LAVC is closed and classes are not in session from February 14-17 in observance of the President's Day weekend. Classes will be in session and college services will resume their normal hours of operation on Tuesday, February 18.
