APPLY FOR SPRING 2024 or FALL 2024!
Complete the following required components by 01/31/2024 for Spring 2024 and 08/16/2024 for Fall 2024:
STEP 1: Apply
Complete an Online Application to Los Angeles Valley College using the CCApply website.
AND
Complete the LA College Promise Application.

STEP 2: Financial Aid
SPRING 2024
Complete the 2023-2024 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (US citizens, CA residents) OR
the 2023-2024 California Dream Act Application (Undocumented, DACA recipients, etc.)
FAll 2024
Complete the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (US citizens, CA residents) OR
the 2024-2025 California Dream Act Application (Undocumented, DACA recipients, etc.)
Tip! If you submitted a CA Dream Act App and are a non-resident, you must be eligible for in-state tuition fees under AB 540 to qualify for the Promise. Email @email or visit the Welcome Center for assistance.
STEP 3: Enroll in Classes
Check the recommended classes in your Career & Academic Pathway (CAP), and enroll in your classes (12+ units) using the myCollege.laccd.edu on your student portal.
Tip! You must enroll in at least 12 course units or receive an exemption from the Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) and ask SSD to send it to the FYE/Promise office.
STEP 4: Student Educational Plan & New Student Orientation
Visit the Counseling Department page to request an online Student Educational Plan (SEP).

Complete the New Student Orientation on your student portal.

STEP 5: New Student Transition Session
Complete a New Student Transition Session to learn more about LAVC's majors and counseling services, Student Support Programs, and Promise benefits.

STEP 6: Go to Classes & Use College Services
Don’t forget to:
- Get your student ID. Pay your classes, and obtain your Student ID by showing your Registration/Fee Receipt to the LAVC Admissions & Records Office (Student Services Center, 1st Floor).
- Purchase or rent your textbooks at the LAVC Monarch Campus Store (ASU 150).
- Attend your classes! Please check the mycollege.laccd.edu Student Portal for important academic dates and deadlines.
- Take advantage of student support at LAVC! Check out LAVC’s Academic Programs and Campus Resources to help you be more successful at Valley College.
