The Dream Resource Center (DRC) at LAVC privides support to undocumented students throughout their educational journey. At the DRC, undocumented students are provided with accurate information about how to access and experience higher education. The mission of EOPS at Los Angeles Valley College is to assist eligible students who have historically experienced economic and educational challenges. Puente is a nationally-recognized, transfer-readiness program, sponsored by the University of California, to help low-income, first-generation, Latinx, and other impacted students to be successful in higher education. If you are interested in transferring to a university to obtain a Bachelor's Degree, and you are looking to have an enjoyable, supportive, challenging and rewarding experience at LAVC, then please consider the Puente program. The SSD program provides support services, specialized instruction, and educational accommodations to students with disabilities so that they can participate as fully and benefit as equitably from the college experience as their non-disabled peers.

The TRiO Program is a support system designed for first generation, low income and/or disabled students. The support system consists of individual counseling, individual tutoring, academic workshops, cultural activities, transfer information, computer labs, and complimentary school supplies. All of these services are provided free of charge and exclusively to TRiO students.

The Umoja Black Scholars Program at LAVC is a mentorship-based learning community created to foster greater culturally relevant engagement, sense of belonging, and academic success for students of color. While this program is strategically engineered to increase the retention and matriculation of African American students at LAVC, Umoja Black Scholars and the Black Scholars Network are inclusive to any students interested in cross-cultural engagement centered on the Black experience and perspectives of students navigating America and LAVC.

The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) offers individual assistance to veteran students and students who are dependants of veterans who are looking to attend LAVC and initiate their educational benefits. Other services provided by the VRC include: help with class enrollment, referrals to Veterans support services outside of LAVC, psychological counseling, tutoring and a mentoring program.
