Welcome Center Counseling
COUNSELING OPTIONS FOR NEW & RETURNING STUDENTS
New Student Orientation and Enrollment
As a new student, you are required to complete a New Student Orientation and have a counselor create a Student Educational Plan (SEP) based on the major you selected at the time of applying to LAVC. This personalized SEP will include all the required prerequisite, major, general education and elective courses tailored to your academic and career goal(s). The majors are grouped under Career-Academic Pathways (CAPs). Within each CAP, you can explore a set of program maps that show a semester by semester path from program entry to completion.
