What is Earth Science?

Earth Science is the study of the physical world around us and the evolution of the planet we live on. Earth Science is a major for students who have a broad interest in the areas of physical, earth, and applied sciences or specialized technical areas such as mapping, geographic information systems, global positioning system, geo-spatial analysis, and remote sensing. Students will learn to apply the scientific inquiry process to problem solving and demonstrate knowledge of and recognize the processes that explain natural phenomena
