"Hero Hired" Career & Resource Fair

"Hero Hired" Career & Resource Fair

Los Angeles Valley College, in partnership with the Valley Economic Alliance, will host the "Hero Hired" Career and Resource Fair on Thursday, October 11 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in Monarch Hall in the LAVC Campus Center building.

This job fair is for veterans and transitioning military personnel, National Guard members, Reserve members, and military spouses. The master of ceremonies is Fritz Coleman. 

More than 60 employers will be taking resumes, interviewing candidates, and hiring at the event. There will also be business ownership opportunities, as well as continuing education opportunities. All job seekers are encouraged to bring their resumes and dress for success as there may be potential on-site interviews. 

The job fair is open to all job seekers, but veteran job seekers will have early access to employers starting at 9:00 a.m. The fair will be opened to the public at 10 a.m. Job Seeker registration is available on Eventbrite.

The Hero Hired a Vet Job and Resource Fair is also cosponsored by Pharmavite, Wells Fargo, Maximus, Glendale Community College and Republic Services.

Free parking is available on the 4th floor of the Parking Structure on Ethel Avenue and Hatteras Street. Do not park in any space designated for faculty and staff. Vehicles parked in other student parking areas on campus will be required to have a valid parking permit, which are available at parking pay stations on campus. View the LAVC campus map

Ticket Cost: Free for job seekers

Parking: Guest should park in Parking Structure – 4th Floor. Parking permits are required at all times. Daily Parking permits for student parking spots can be purchased at an LAVC parking pay station. View campus map
