$1000 Federal Award Available for Students

Every LA Valley College student enrolled for Fall 2021 who qualifies for financial aid is eligible to receive a $1000 federal stimulus award. Students must meet certain eligibility requirements to qualify.

$1000 Federal Award Available for Students

LAVC students enrolled in Fall 2021 classes may be eligible to receive up to $1000 in federal stimulus funds for emergency basic needs. To receive the award, you must:

  • Have LAVC as your home campus,
  • Be enrolled at Valley College for Fall 2021,
    AND
  • Be eligible for the FAFSA, California College Promise Grant (fee waiver), Dream Act Grant, or demonstrate economic hardship resulting from COVID-19

Haven’t registered?

  1. Enroll NOW in Fall classes on the myCollege.laccd.edu Student Portal, AND
  2. Complete your Free Application for Federal Student (FAFSA) application (LAVC code is 001228) OR the California College Promise Grant Application.

Already enrolled for Fall?

  1. To find out if you qualify, complete your Free Application for Federal Student (FAFSA) application (LAVC code is 001228) OR complete the California College Promise Grant Application.
