  • This program provides hyperlinks to PDF documents that will open in a new browser window, also known as pop-ups. You should configure the browser to allow pop-ups before starting this program. To do so later, when prompted by the browser, will force the advising program to re-start.

  • Do not use the browser's Back button or screen Refresh button to navigate the advising program. The program includes its own navigation and other controls to allow you to play, pause, or repeat each screen in the presentation.

  • You may be prompted to print certain screens in the program. You should be viewing this presentation on a computer that is connected to a printer.

This program was designed to be accessible to all students. Students who use screen readers or text-to-speech software, students who use voice recognition, and students who are deaf/hard-of-hearing should use the accessible version.

Within the program, students will experience instruction on how to use the Student Information System and our Schedule of Classes. Please contact the SSD (Services for Students with Disabilities) if you would like more instruction on how to use these features.

The advising program is built using Flash, but this won't prevent you from using your tablet to view the presentation. You can visit either Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS) and download a cloud-based browser; such as Puffin. This browser is free and will allow you to access any Flash-based web content on your mobile device.

This program features a built-in screen reader. The accessibility functions built-in to the advising program will conflict with screen reader commands. Before entering the program, turn off any screen-reading applications, then press the Space Bar to activate "Ana" in the accessible mode.

Also, you will want to limit your use of the "L" key when directed by the program. The "L" key is used for hyperlinking, which will require you to temporarily turn your screen reader program back on.
