Elementary
Chemical Principles and Law with applications to industrial, environmental
and health issues. The Laboratory will introduce safety, scientific observation,
measurement, and use of chemicals. The course will emphasize Chemical Stoichiometry
and Gas Law Calculations. Students who have not studied chemistry in high
school must take this course or Chemistry 68 prior to enrollment in Chemistry
101. This course is recommended for students who have been away from high
school chemistry for two or more years. No credit given for this course
if student has already passed Chemistry 68.
MAXIMUM UC CREDIT FOR ANY COMBINATION OF CHEM 60 OR 68 IS ONE COURSE.
NO UC CREDIT FOR 60 OR 68 IF TAKEN AFTER 101.
