New COVID Testing & Screen Requirement for On-Campus Visits

The Los Angeles Community College District 's Board of Trustees made a significant Board Policy change about COVID-19 vaccine and testing requirements to access college and District facilities. Our new vendor, Biocept, takes over the COVID-19 Testing and Screening operations at LAVC (replacing the LAVC Safe App and self-check-in on our website).

Effective September 13, 2021, the District and the colleges is using the short, self-check health questionnaire by Cleared4 for students and employees who want to access a college or District facility. The new questionnaire is accessible via any phone, tablet or laptop connected to the internet. Check your student email for a message from Cleared4 on how to create your Biocept profile account to receive a text and/or email with your unique link the questionnaire. The deadline to create your profile and get a free baseline COVID-19 test is October 8, 2021.

This same Biocept system will also be used to upload vaccination information. The new deadline for being fully vaccinated for in-person classes and uploading vaccination information or having an exemption is October 18, 2021.
