Congratulations to the Women’s Basketball All-State Academic Team

Congrats to LAVC student athletes Sophia Hughes, Nhi Nguyen, Kathleen Phan, Yunuhen Plata and Taylor Vuong for being named to the CA Community College Women's Basketball Coaches Association's 2020-2021 Academic All-State Team.

LAVC Nursing Students & Faculty Volunteer at Dodger Stadium Covid-19 Clinic

Students and faculty in the LAVC Nursing Department have been volunteering to assist the Covid-19 vaccination clinic at Dodger Stadium. Nursing faculty member Lucinda Traughber was featured in a recent KCAL9/CBS2 segment on the need for more healthcare volunteers for administering the COVID-19 vaccines.

EOPS offers helpful counseling, money for books and more!

EOPS is now accepting applications for new students through Sunday, February 28 at 11:59 PM.  Eligible students receive helpful counseling, priority registration, funds to help pay for textbooks and more. For more information and the online application, visit EOPS.

Get free wi-fi access in Parking Lot F to do your coursework on Monday-Sunday from 5 a.m.-10 p.m. While on campus, will need to stay in your vehicle, wear a mask, practice physical distancing, and follow all LAVC/LA County Health protocols. Los Angeles Black College Expo

Friday, February 19 from 3-7 p.m. & Saturday, February 20 from 12-3 p.m.

The Virtual California Black College Expo is a 2-Day event for students to get access to colleges, highlighting HBCUs and other educational programs.
