Need a Laptop for School? Apply for an Emergency Student Aid Grant

Emergency Student Aid grants are available to LAVC students with identified financial needs that compromise their ability to continue their studies or successfully engage in their classes. To qualify: You must have LAVC as your home campus, be enrolled in 6 units or more, and demonstrate financial need. Apply today for a Laptops/Tablet, Technology & Basic Needs Grants!

Submission Deadline for the Student Writing Conference is April 19

The LAVC Humanities and Communication CAP invites you to submit a Spring 2021 Writing Conference application with your original Critical/Argumentative Essays, Research Essays, Narrative Essays, Short Stories, or Poetry addressing issues related to COVID no later than April 19, 2021. The LAVC Spring 2021 Student Writing Conference: “Finding Our Humanity in the Time of Pandemic” will take place virtually on May 17 from 1-3 p.m.

Apply by April 22 for an AFT 2021 Scholarships

Need $1000 to pay for school? The LA College Faculty Guild (AFT) is accepting scholarship applications from students until April 22. There are $1000 Scholarships available at each of the nine LACCD colleges. Visit AFT 1251 to download the scholarship application, or email your AFT Campus Scholarship Ambassador Fatema Baldiwala for information on available scholarships.

Career Exploration: Self-Assessment Workshop

This workshop will go over how personality, interests, values, skills, and abilities relate to different majors and careers.
