Jessica Amaya serves multiple roles at the Academic Resource Center.  She is a math, statistics, and computer science tutor.  She works in both general tutoring and math lab.  Besides that, she is an embedded tutor who helps math professors and students inside the class.

We wanted to share that one of our former Writing Center tutors, Robert Kane, sadly passed away on March 3rd, 2021. Cat lover, playwright, actor, adjunct Professor of English & former Writing Center tutor, Robert Kane will be missed by many.

Kristina Yegoryan started her Tutor/ Consultant position at the Writing Center in 2005. Currently, she is a Workshop Leader at the Writing Center and Assistant Professor of English Composition at LAVC.  As a former successful student of LAVC, Professor Yegoryan not only shares her academic experiences and achievements with her students to empower and encourage them to further their intellectual pursuits, but also implements dynamic teaching methods that meet the academic needs of a diverse student population and help all students be academically successful.
