Web Enhance Your Course

There are many options available to instructors that would like to web-enhance their on-campus (face-to-face) classes:

  • Canvas LMS (Contact the LAVC Professional Development Center for the next scheduled training session)
  • HaikuLearning.com (Contact the LAVC Professional Development Center for the next scheduled training session)
  • The publisher’s website
  • A website you have created
  • Google docs/Google sites
  • Wordpress.com/Weebly.com
  • RCampus.com

Currently, the official Learning Management System in use at Valley College is "Canvas".

Canvas Site
Starting summer 2018, Canvas Sites will be created for all LAVC courses: online, hybrid, and face-to-face classes. You may use it or not. It's not mandatory. Although certification is not a requirement for web-enhancing, if you are interested in Canvas LMS training, you should check out the Training Opportunities web page. Just a reminder that all materials posted online for online, hybrid, and face-to-face classes must be accessible to all students. Please check out the Accessibility Guidelines as you start developing your course.

Make sure you make your request well before the semester begins.
