Different locations in the worldThe Los Angeles Valley College Study Away Program offers study abroad programs for community college students (and non-students) who want a memorable learning experience. These programs are open to any individual who wants the opportunity to study a subject in a foreign country or in the United States.

The selection of programs vary, but each one provides a unique learning experience that can broaden your understanding of the world and yourself. Studying in a new city or country can also deepen your knowledge and appreciation of other cultures, and give you many new memories and experiences that you will cherish for a lifetime.

The LAVC Study Away Program will be offering a Summer 2016 study away program on the “Luminaries of British Literature 1780-2015”, which includes travel to London, England and Dublin, Ireland from June 11-June 22.

The Study Away Program has both an on-campus and travel components. In addition to applying for the program, students will need to register for English 206 in Summer 2016, and attend pre- and post- travel class meetings. The pre-travel class meetings will be held on Saturdays, May 21, 28 and June 4 from 1-4 p.m. and the post-travel class meetings will be held on June 25, July 2 and 9 from 1-4 p.m.
