This department consists of two programs and offers courses in three disciplines.
We offer majors in Sociology and Ethnic Studies and courses in Sociology, African American Studies and Chicano Studies. Our Mission: Sociology and Ethnic Studies focuses on the role of social organization on human interaction and stability and change in social life using applied and conceptual methods. Students will be equipped to be engaged global citizens in an increasingly diverse world.
