Welcome to LAVC Professional Development

The mission of LAVC Professional Development is to promote effective teaching and enhance the professional skills of all employees by offering resources and opportunities for growth and learning.

Our Professional Development Center (PDC) is located in the Faculty/Staff Resource Center in the Library & Academic Resource Center (LARC), Room 200.

The PDC has computers, scanners, Scantron machine, and laminator for faculty use.

We also offer one-on-one tutorials for faculty and staff on computer use, Microsoft programs, or teaching strategies.

Faculty can also pick up useful handouts on teaching strategies, check out training videos, laser pointers, flip cameras, books, and other materials; see our shelf of free books for faculty.
