What is "One Book, One College"?

"One Book" takes a single book, threaded across disciplines and throughout curriculum, to foster opportunities for creativity, scholarship, critical thinking, and academic dialogue. One Book creates a shared intellectual experience for students, faculty, administration and staff.

The Book

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks is LAVC's 2016-17 selection for our One Book, One College program.

The Library has many copies available for 3-day checkout. Search our website for access to the ebook.

For more information about the One Book program, contact Michelle Lewis, program coordinator.
