GEOGRAPHY 1 - PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY (UC:CSU) - 3 UNITS
Prerequisite: None.
Brief Description: A study of the physical environment of the earth, including weather, climate, oceans, tides, landforms, natural vegetation, seasons and time.


GEOGRAPHY 1 - HONORS SECTION - PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY (UC:CSU) - 3 UNITS
Prerequisite: None.
Brief Description: This course counts for partial completion of Transfer Alliance Program requirements. For further information, see pages 20-21.

GEOGRAPHY 14 - GEOGRAPHY OF CALIFORNIA (UC:CSU) - 3 UNITS
Prerequisite: None. (Offered in Spring semester only).
Brief Description: A survey course of the physical and cultural environments found in California.


GEOGRAPHY 15 - PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY LABORATORY (UC:CSU) - 2 UNITS
Prerequisite: Geography 1 or concurrent enrollment.
Brief Description: Earth environment laboratory, with field trips, stressing the use of scientific method in understanding maps, earth-sun relationships, weather, climate, vegetation, soils and landforms.


GEOGRAPHY 185 - DIRECTED STUDY - GEOGRAPHY (UC:CSU) - 1 UNIT
Prerequisites: Consultation with instructor and approval of project.
NOTE: UC CREDIT FOR INDEPENDENT STUDY/DIRECTED STUDY COURSES NUMBERED 185, 285, AND 385 IN ANY DEPARTMENT IS NOT AUTOMATIC; CREDIT IS CONTINGENT ON UC CAMPUS EVALUATION AFTER APPLICATION AND ADMISSION.
Brief Description: Allows students to pursue directed study in geography under the direction of a supervising instructor.
