hide

Counseling Appointment scheduling is currently closed for Fall Registration Counseling.

During peak registration (two weeks before the semester and two weeks into the semester), General counselors will be available on a first-come first-served basis during our regular office hours M-Th 8am-7pm and Fri 8am-2pm.  Students are encouraged to come in early to sign-in and prepare to wait. Sign-ins are cut off at least one hour before closing.

We will start scheduling regular appointments again on Tuesday,  September 3rd @ 8am for the week of September 9th.

TYPES OF COUNSELING APPOINTMENTS

10-MINUTE SAME-DAY COUNSELING APPOINTMENTS:

Students who have questions that can be answered quickly, without review of transcripts, can obtain a 10-minute, same-day appointment with a counselor.  These 10-minute, same-day appointments are booked beginning at 8 am Monday through Friday by Counseling Department clerical staff. Please call 818-947-2474 or visit the Counseling Department in the Student Services Annex to make a same-day appointment. Students who call or come in early in the morning have the best chance of getting an appointment for later the same day.

30-MINUTE COUNSELING APPOINTMENTS:

Students who require a review of their transcripts from within the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) only, will need to make a 30-minute counseling appointment.  These appointments are for currently enrolled students to develop and/or update student educational plans and discuss  educational obstacles and challenges, or other topics that may require longer than 10 minutes.  These 30-minute appointments are scheduled starting each Tuesday morning at 8:00 AM for the following week either online or in person in the Counseling Department (Student Services Annex) or by phone at (818) 947-2474.

60-MINUTE COUNSELING APPOINTMENTS:

Students who require evaluation of their transcripts from colleges and/or universities outside LACCD, need a 60-minute counseling appointment.  Before making an appointment, students must make sure all their official transcripts are sent directly to the Admissions and Records Office.  No hand delivered transcripts will be accepted.  Students may also be referred for to schedule a 60-minute appointment by a counselor.  These appointments are scheduled with Counseling Department clerical staff in-person in the Counseling Department (Student Services Annex), or by phone at (818) 947-2474.
