PR Request Form
Welcome to the LAVC Public Relations Office Web Page
The LAVC Public Relations Office oversees the college's internal and external communications, media relations, publications, campus construction special events, and emergency notifications. It publishes a weekly internal newsletter, called the College Bulletin, and maintains the college's electronic marquee, online calendar of events, and the college homepage. In addition, the Public Relations Office oversees the college logo and the LAVC Graphic Standards and Style Guide (intranet access only).
The Public Relations Office can provide LAVC departments, programs and services with promotional assistance for their on-campus events and news. In addition, it can assist chartered ASU student clubs and organizations promote its campus special events; officially chartered ASU clubs must submit their request via their designated club advisor or the ASU Commissioner of Public Relations.
Please note: The LAVC Public Relations Office may also be able provide limited assistance for events held at LAVC (e.g. rental of campus facilities through the LAVC Master Calendar Office); these available services (noted with an * in the list of request deadlines below) include posting an announcement in our LAVC College Bulletin, on our electronic marquee and on the college's online calendar of events. All requests by organizations or groups not directly affiliated with LAVC will be denied.

Fill in the form and save the form into your “My Documents” (if on a PC) or "Documents" (if on a Mac) folder.
If you would like your event flyer to be posted online***, please submit your request to email@example.com. (Don't forget to provide the URL to your flyer on your PR Request Form, so that we may include the flyer link in your announcement.)
*** Please note: All campus events must meet the guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Therefore, all flyers promoting events on campus must contain contact information for individuals to make a request for an accommodation. Flyers without the required "request for accommodation" notice statement, may prohibit or delay the PR Office from providing promotional assistance for your event. Contact the Public Relations Office at firstname.lastname@example.org for a sample of the "request for accommodation" text.
If you would like to promote your event on social media (Twitter and Facebook) or in the College Bulletin, please submit a logo/graphic or event photo along with your PR Request Form.
Create an email, and attached the completed PR Request Form along any graphics for inclusion in the College Bulletin and/or social media to email@example.com. (Don't forget to provide the URL to your online flyer and/or Web site on your form, so that we may share it).
PR Request Forms not submitted to the above-noted email address will be delayed, or your request may not be fulfilled.
