LAVC Virtual Recognition Ceremony

Los Angeles Valley College will hold a special Virtual Recognition Ceremony on Tuesday, June 9 at 9:00 a.m. on the LAVC Facebook Page and LAVC YouTube Channel.

All LACCD campuses, including Los Angeles Valley College, are holding online Virtual Recognition Ceremonies instead of an in-person commencement (graduation) due to public orders requiring social distancing, and prohibiting large public gatherings to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Each Ceremony will be approximately two and a half hours long, depending on the number of graduates for the college.

Fall 2019 Graduates and Spring 2020 Candidates for Graduation should check their email account for information regarding how to participate in the Virtual Recognition Ceremony. Class of 2020 graduates will need to submit TWO separate RSVPs--one to RSVP and upload their personalized video, and one to RSVP and upload a photo for the grad slide. The deadline for both is Wednesday, May 20 at 5 p.m.

LAVC faculty and staff can also submit a congratulatory video to our graduates, which will be played during the virtual ceremony. The deadline to how to upload a personalized video and slide is Wednesday, May 20 at 5 p.m.

For more information, visit the LAVC Virtual Recognition webpage.
