LA Valley College's Accreditation Status Reaffirmed by the ACCJC

The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) sent formal notification to Los Angeles Valley College that it has reaffirmed the college's accreditation status following a comprehensive evaluation.

LAVC inducted the 1994 Football Team, Dale Beck, Leon Criner, Steve Danielson, Aaron Flowers, Yvette Maufas, Diedra Stark, and Roger Wolff into the 2016 LAVC Athletic Hall of Fame 2016 on June 25. Photo gallery of the induction ceremony and banquet are now posted online.

LAVC Athlete Sydney Hua Named a 2016 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar

Sydney Hua on the LAVC Women's Basketball team was recognized as a 2016 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education Magazine. She is the only CA community college student athlete that was honored for her excellence in the classroom as well as on the athletic field.

LAVC Selects the 2016-2017 Book for its One Book, One College Program
LAVC Selects the 2016-2017 Book for its One Book, One College Program

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks has been selected as LAVC's 2016-2017 One Book, One Campus book selection. All faculty members who incorporate the book into their course curriculum will receive one free copy of the book. There will also be an optional online book club for faculty/staff beginning on June 20.
