LGBTQ+ Workshop

Description: Join us for a discussion about gender norms, cultural intersections and the use of language. Presented by Matthew Contreras of The Village Family Services.*Food will be provided*

 

Coco and Loteria

Description: Immerse yourself in Latin American Heritage with a game of Loteria, snacks and the movie COCO!

 

Club Day

Description: Come and learn more about the Student Clubs on campus and observe an incredible performance by the World's FIRST and ONLY LGBTQ+ Mariachi! *Complimentary Lunch will be served*

 

Dia de los Muertos

Description: Celebrate Dia De Los Muertos and enjoy pan de muerto and café de olla.

 

Office Altar Competition

Date: Friday, November 2
Time: 11AM-12PM
Location: LAVC Offices: Judging will take place
Description: Honor and pay loving tribute to your departed family members by participating in this cultural tradition by constructing a shrine (an ofrenda) in your office. Judging will be based on the use of objects, creativity and originality.

DIA DE RECONOCIMIENTO 2018

Please join us on Wednesday, May 16th in the Student Services Plaza from 6:00pm-8:00pm. On this day we will acknowledge your hard work towards graduation, transfer, and/or receiving scholarship recognition.  

This event is by invitation only. If you received a letter, email or text message please follow the directions below. 

To participate in this annual event, please complete the following steps:

  • Let us know you are attending no later than Monday, May 7th by picking up your complimentary dinner tickets.
  • Pick-up your dinner tickets in the Office of the Vice President of Student Services located on the second floor of the Student Services Center, Monday-Friday between 8:00am-4:00pm. You will be provided with four (4) complimentary tickets for dinner. Tickets will be available on a first come first served basis
  • Be prepared to have your picture taken when picking up your tickets. Photos will be included in our slideshow at the event

 

Complimentary parking will be available on the 4th Floor of the Parking Structure on the day of the event.
