Seven Monarchs Headed to
State Track Championship

Again this year, Monarch track and field athletes will be appearing in this weekend's state finals:

Molly Pearlman (pole vault), Alva Castillo (200m, 400m, 4 X 1), Adeshola Stewart-Abe (4 X 1), Chiza Eze (100m, 200m, 4 X 1, long jump), Shanera Johnson ( 4 X 1), Alex Hamidzadeh (pole vault), and Angel Alcantar (3000m steeplechase).

Four Track and Field Athletes Selected as WSC Athletes of the Week for their Win

The 400 meter relay team of Chiza Eze, Adeshola Stewart, Shanera Johnson and Alva Castillo won the Southern California Regional Championship with a time of 47.60. Chiza, Adeshola and Alva are sophomores while Shanera is a freshman.

Football Players Headed
to 4-Year Schools

One freshman and ten sophomore are moving to the university level and will play at such prestigious schools as the University of South Carolina and University of Nevada at Reno. Meet the players!

Four Softball Players Make Conference Selection

Sarah Rojas (first base) and Vivian Topete (outfield) have been selected to the Western State Conference First Team. They're joined by Melissa Zapata and Samantha Suarez, honorable mention selections.

Baseball Players Go All-Conference

Casey Ryan (inf) and David Armas (P) have joined the WSC Southern Division First Team. Armas was a unanimous selection.

Second Team honors went to Sam Johnston (inf), Nathan Mendez, and Travis Cassidy (P). Honorable Mention selections were Cameron Doran (C), Erik Folkers (Inf), and Ariel Adut (Of). Armas was a unanimous selection
